I need tips on touching up my relaxer

You bump a post whenever you add a post to a thread just to move it higher on the list. Say if it ended up on the second page, but never got an answer, someone would "bump" it by adding a post and getting it to the top of the 1st page to increase visibility, making someone more likely to reply to it.
