I've heard many people discussing moisturizing new growth to prevent the relaxed hair from breaking at the line of demarcation. My question is how often do you do it and what product do you use? Im working really hard to gain some substantial growth this summer and I don't want to jeopardize it. A lot of people think this *hair care* thing is dumb and i wanna prove those haters wrong. Also im going to wait four months to relax. I've found that my hair breaks way too much during conditioner washes to do those regularly, any ideas how to protect my hair? Sorry if this was long, but thanks for reading!

I used to do this after washing and my favorite product for it was CD Healthy Hair Butter. So, I guess generally, I did it twice a week. My regimen is a little different now b/c I am transitioning so I don't just have an inch of new growth but more like 9 or 10.

thanks for the reply! i think that im going to try it with some elasta qp mango butter. You have some gorgeous hair! Is there anything else in particular that you do to combat breakage?

UBH Moisterizer was great on my new growth kept it soft, and I held off getting a relaxer for 5 months using this and conditioner washes, Oh yeah, I did it twice a day once in the morning and once at night. I also used Healthy Hair Butter but only after washings, which was every 3 days.
