I need help with flexi rods

I want to try these this weekend, however I don't know what size/color to buy. I have neck length hair and want a loose spiral set.

I also need help with how to use them. Do I wrap my hair around them in a spiral motion or just put the hair on the rod and twist it down until it reaches my scalp? I think I'm making it harder than it really is.

Can someone please tell me what size flexi rods I should buy? And how to use them? TIA!

I have pics in my fotki and a description in my journal, the size depends on how big/small you want the curls and how tight they will be to your head. I use purple ones, goof luck...I roll like a normally set as I cnat postion them properly when I try to do them in a spiral...

I would say that if your hair is neck lenght, you may have a little trouble getting the flexi rods to stay in your hair. They are pretty long. If I were you, I would get perm rods. Same effect but easier to use. I would get the purple ones. HTH
