I have a fine texture of hair, that I really never take care of...I want to start so I clipped my ends and I'm starting over...When I deep condition my hair it feels really stringy and hard, is does not have the bonuce and body. every time I comb my hair it comes out. What can I do to make my hair healthy without making it feels like it's being weighted down.

sounds like you need protein treatments. Some favs are nexxus emergencee, kpak, and aubrey organics GPB. They are not too strong so they should not make your hair hard. What are you currently using for conditioning?

Montana you should rollerset your hair with a light leave in like Pantene. After u rollerset your hair u could wrap it and then when u comb your hair out it will be full and healthy looking and very bouncy.
Also I would clarify before you condition just to remove any build up u may have.

Hope this helps

Remember to follow-up your protein treatments with a conditioner and then moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. This helps me to eliminate hard, unmanageable hair.

I never used any deep condition on my hair, I used Pantene regular shampoo and condition, since the new year I used kera care deep condition, It took a couple of days for my hair to become soft, maybe it had to do w/ me setting it my self. but the next week I went to the salon and did not use a deep condition, my hair had the shiny bouncy look. when i comb it the hair stills falls out. Thanks guys I will try both the Pantene and Nexxus.

How ofen should I use a protein condition?...I'm going to assume that I should use a deep moisturize condition everytime I wash my hair which is 1 a week.

Yes you should deep condition after every wash. Protein treatments should be used less often. Many ladies here do them only twice a month. You'll have to experiment and see what works best for you.

Some other things you may want to consider:

Conditioner only washes a couple of times a week. That's where you wash your hair with conditioner instead of shampoo. I usually just rinse my hair with water and apply conditioner.

Some ladies like to rinse with ACV (apple cider vinegar diluted with water)instead of shampoo. It cleanses the hair and scalp and will make hair shiny and bouncy. I usually have to moisturize my hair afterwards because it can be drying.

Hot oil treatments may help. Extra virgin olive oil is good but you can also try other oils like castor, coconut and jojoba oils. You can find them at your local health food store.
