I want to try this style and I haven't straighten my hair since 1998:lol: I want someone to do it but I don't want damage. Any tips?
P.S. I won't be doing this until late fall, when it is not so humid.

what kind of tips do you want? like step by step how to achieve the look?

when I was relaxed i could achieve a similar look by either doing large bantu knots or using a large barrel curling iron.

maybe even curl formers could be used to achieve this look

Oh okay, I'm natural and I like your ideas. I really would like my hair professionally trimmed.

Looks pretty simple. This is a just a fancy/messy half up half down style.

If you do straighten make sure your hair is MOISTURIZED from your deep conditioner. I personally would never let anyone use heat on my natural hair. If you decide to straighten yourself, you won't have to get it super straight considering the style is messy.

No Prob, I only mentioned the relaxed part because Im natural now and havnt tried any straight styles yet.

and I agree with west' this style would look nice with textured hair (ie, not flat ironed bone straight)

Awww, I used to wear my hair like this everyday. :yep: Makes me wanna dust off the old Carusos...

The front edges don't have to be straight, just laid down. I used the scarf method and a big barrel curling iron (before I got on my no heat thing, which I'm now off). When I wasn't using heat, I used big flexis for the same look.
