I need a little help..

Hi ladies. I'm having a problem keeping my new growth soft. I HATE grease and oil because my scalp starts itching an hour after I use it so that's not an option. I DCed yesterday and that helped for a day, but now it's hard again. My relaxed hair is very soft after the DC, so I can't figure out what the problem is. Any product recommendations or advice? TIA for your responses!!!

Alot of people use Scurl to keep the new growth soft.

Did you seal after you moisturized and dc'd? I love breakfree (profective) it has no buildup and I use it every other day depending on how I am styling my hair.
