I'm moving back to Missouri in two and a half months and the water there is hard! And I'll be swimming a bit as it will be summer. What works for you?

When I feel the need to clarify/chelate i use Kenra Clarifying Shampoo Chelating Formula. I purchase at Ulta.

I love Kenra Clarifying Shampoo Chelating Formula

My niece really likes ORS Aloe shampoo

ORS Aloe is definitely a good choice. This is slightly off-topic, but I knew someone who once used it every wash (I think she washed twice a week or so) and then didn't understand why her hair felt so off all the time and I just wanted to go "Uhm, did you not read the label when you bought the shampoo...?"

Lol I think most African Americans hair errors come from improperly used products. Then people are just like oh it don't work

Curl Junkie's Gentle Cleansing Shampoo or CJ's Deep Fix. Both have the chelating agent- EDTA in it.

Never intended on getting a chelating shampoo, but I do have a bottle of kinky curly shampoo which i've read is chelating. All I know it is kinda strips my hair so I don't use it too often.

^ if you have issues with your hair feeling sripped after a chelating poo, follow up with a moisturizing poo. Works everytime.

ETA: To answer the op, I've used ORS creamy Aloe or Elucence Volume Clarifying poo both texlaxed and natural with good results. Both are very inexpensive.

Elucence Clarifying (which is also a Chelator)
Redken Cleansing Creme
Joico Chelating Shampoo
Nexxus Aloe Rid *I have GVP Brand*

KeraCare 1st Lather Shampoo is a great clarifyingp poo but must be followed with Keracare Hydrating and Detangling Moisturizing Shampoo.

I love both of them and only purchase them in the litre sized bottles. I tend to use products weekly, so these are needed in my regimen. By the way, they are both sulfate-free.
