Hi Ladies

Just wanted to share my new found adoration for the SOLIA TOURMALINE CERAMIC flat iron!!!!! This thing is the best flat iron for my 3c fine strands. I am 11 weeks post and it looks like I had a fresh touch-up. This will definately help me in my stretch. I wish I had a digital camera so I could share, but I am never giving this baby up, so I will share soon as I can get some pics.

****May I add that I ordered this thing Tuesday night and it was at my doorstep by Thursday afternoon, and I live in Canada!!!!!

Just wanted to share that's all!

Hey what site did you purchase your solia from? is this your first flat iron? If youve had others how do they compare to your Solia. Im thinking of treating myself to a good flat iron, but i want to get the best for my money. Im interesting in getting either the Solia 88$ or the Sedu 129$ or the T3 129$.

HIi there! I have had the HOT TOOL EFFECTS & the CERAMIC SERIES from Helen of Troy, and neither of them compare. I have to say that this is the best I've had so far. I have a co-worker who has the sedu ($129) and the Solia($88) and she says she should've just been satisfied with the Solia b/c they have the same effect on her hair. Her curiousity got the better of her and she now has both. If you are defending your dollars, I would say go with the Solia. It's the BEST bang for your buck!

HTH

edited to add: I got it form folica .com

ot: Champion, why is my man in your avatar?

   Ms Jadu, I'm so glad to hear from another fan/ supporter of Mr. Siccature Alcock!!! I was beginning to think I have an obsession.

I think this is THE MOST TALENTED artist on the scene, and I have thought so since he first came on the scene in the late 90's (but with all the controversy surrounding his current living arrangements, it's not alway so safe to express my love for his music and message.) I guess I just got tired of not letting it be known how I really feel.

Full time now fi dem release di Cure!

PM me and we can talk some more. ;)

I have a Solia Tourmaline. ;) I have had it since March and I love it like it is a member of the family. ;o) It does help in stretches. I have the 1.5 inch size and it straightens out my roots beautifully. Makes my hair flow like I just got a touchup recently. I use it with Biosilk Silk Therapy and my hair shines, flows, bounces and looks great. I had to buy the Solia because folica.com didn't have the Chi everyone on LHCF was raving about at the time. I am so glad things worked out that way because I couldn't be happier! :D

I have this iron also, but I don't really like it though. I will probably be purchasing a T3 flatiron next year.

I am torn between the T3 and the Solia.

Has anyone had any good experiences using the Solia on 4a or 4b natural hair or even the T3?

I purchased my Solia in May from Folica.com. I have the 1 1/4. I didn't think I could get my 4a/4b new growth straight, but it did! I use either Biosilk Silk Therapy of Ion heat spray and it comes out great. I'm not parting with mine either!!!

Tenderheaded, that's the same size I have. My NG is really stubborn sometimes, and this ting really worked.

Here's my question for you: How often do you use it, and do you use it to stretch the time btwn touch ups? When using it to stretch I guess I'd have to use it more than the ideal, but I am scared of causing breakage.

What's been your experience with it and breakage compared to other ceramic irons since you've had it?

TIA,

Championgurl.

Can it be used on wet hair, if not which one can be used on wet hair? I'm interested in a ceramic wet to dry flat iron. I also wonder if they are more damaging.

It says you can use it on damp hair.
