I love Aveda Damage Remedy Treatment as a leave in!

It makes my hair so soft and strong at the same time!

I mist with braid spray/rosewater mix, use a tiny amount of the DR Treatment ( A little goes a looong way), and seal with vatika oil.

I've done this for about two weeks and my natural 4b hair is loving it!

But are there any drawbacks to doing this because this treatment does contain protein?

Also has anyone else done this? What were the results?

I'd personally never use it as a leave-in because my hair doesn't like a lot of protein and it would go into protein overload quickly. However, I absolutely love Aveda DR and use it weekly for about 15 minutes w/ a plastic cap sitting under my Pibbs. After using it, my hair feels so strong and soft.

Even though it's a protein, my hair feels as though it doesn't need to be followed with a moisturizing conditioner but I follow it with a moisturizing deep conditioner anyway.

It's an awesome product. It's one of my staples. I prefer it over Joico K-Pac Reconstructor.

Hopefully someone else will chime in for you.

I used to use it the same way. My hair hates protien as well but ADR never stopped working. I am getting more very soon.
