A friend of mine told me the using marijuana stunts hair growth....I was wondering if that is true.

Well just about every boy/man i know with hair grows fast and long.......and they all smoke weed -shrugs- im the one that think it stimulates growth.

This post reminds me of a long-time member here. Her name is TARA (Tara are you reading???) and we had a discussion before about marijuana and hair growth. Anyway, she was saying how Snoop, MAC 10 and all these guys with long hair smokes marijuana and she was saying that she thought maybe marijuana made ones hair grow. She even made a joke saying that she was going to look into "hemp oil" for her hair!

At any rate, I am not sure the effects of it on hair. Not a marijuana smoker at all, so I can't offer any personal imput!

Don't forget Bone, Thugs and Harmony. All of them have beautiful hair....

and they are the weed kings!

Seriously, I don't think it's the weed. I think its because they don't do anything but braid their hair that helps them to retain length. They don't use heat, color, chemicals or constant style changes. Nothing but protective styles for them.

I don't know about the hair growth thing but men who smoke weed purposely grow their nails long because it helps them to hold the blunt without getting burnt when it gets down to the end.

Marijuana stunts everything (sperm production, repulse responses, cognitive processes, healthy production of eggs in women and proper circulation just to name a few) because it relaxes your nervous system. I think JenJen is right the pot smokin' guys grow long hair because they braid, don't relax for the most part and don't use a lot of heat.
