so can someone please help me out

I'm considering getting a texturizer/Silkener . I've have been checking out alot of photos especially those at curve.com . I want to know is a texturizer something like a s curl/jherrie curl ? and does it require a lot of maintenance?

thanks in advance

From what I have read in the past a texturizer is just a mild relaxer left on for about 5-8 minutes and the hair is not smoothed through as you would to get it straight. I don't think it is anything like a jheri curl. My hair is in a texturixed state. I think it gives you the option to wear your hair semi-natural(curly) or straight. As with any hairstyle you wear the maintenance depends on what you want to do. I don't think it requires a lot though.

Yeah, I have seen a lot of woman with them and look absolutely gorgeous. If you didn't know better you would think that they were all natural.
