I Am So Blessed

I'm easy going.
:ohwell: im just saying,... everytime I wear my hair out, somehow something always manages to grab onto my hair and rip it out! zippers, tree branches, a botton on my shirt or my nails, etc:nono:. Earlier, I bent down to pick something off the floor and as i stood back up, THE HANDLE FROM THE DOOR pulled a couple of strands out! Is it me, or does this happen to everyone?:perplexed

If one strand is ripped out of my head, my whole day is ruined....sad, but true:nono:.

I't not just you...this happens to me ALL the time. Just this weekend I caught my hair in the sunroof and didn't realize it until I tried to get out of the car...OUCH!

And see THIS is why folks with long hair know....get yo ish up! Put it in a bun or something cause it will get caught on everything. There is a reason folks grow their hair to long lengths and keep it tucked away...cause it gets trapped everywhere! Heck I'm a menace to myself, I flat ironed tonight and best believe it's tucked away right now with my hair fork.

I agree. This is why I tend to keep my hair up and out of the way. I tend to sit back on my hair when sitting in chairs and roll over onto it when in the bed. Also it gets caught around shirt buttons and under purse straps. Even when washing my hands, it tends to fall into the sink. All of this eventually damages the hair plus having hair constantly getting in the way is uncomfortable. That's why I prefer to keep it out of the way.

My hair got caught in the seatbelt for the first time this pasted weekend, and I literally yelped when it happened.

I am so glad the OP came out with this thread cause I was thinking of creating one just like it but didnt want to sound so hair crazy. I wore my APL hair down for 2 days and I could not do a thing. I mean really I was so focused on my sweater pulling my hair, my chair at work, or seat in my truck, oh and not to mention the AC in my truck drying my ends. Needless to say on day 3 (today) I did a wet bun.:perplexed

Just about all of the ladies on long hair forum keep their hair in buns or other updos for this reason.

The last time I had my hair straightened, I was bothered by the hair blowing in my eyes and landing in my food and mouth. That was a year ago and my dds were 2 and 4. They were not used to seeing my hair out and long and they were all up in it too (yucky sticky hands :( ) .

Yup. One time my hair was under me while I was sleeping (I sleep on my stomach with my arms tucked in). Long short, when I rolled over, I yanked a few strands of hair out in the process. It was really painful.
