It was 14.99 for shipping and handling and I get to use it for 30 days. If I do not like it I can return it before the 30 days. If I want to keep it they will start billing me 3 monthly payments of $33 after the 30 day period.

Included was some shine products, brush, clips, carry/store case and they also added shampoo & conditioner and leave in. All I would get to keep if I don't like the iron.

I was going to get the Sedu but thought with this deal I should give this one a try. If I don't like it I will get the Sedu.

Now, they lady told me that it would take 4-6 weeks to get the iron, unless I wanted to pay for it in full now. Which of course I said no thanks...I'll wait.

I'll post a review and pics

I read on another forum where a lot of ladies got theirs in a matter of days, not weeks. I think they tell people that to CYB..

I'll be on the lookout for that review!

I got the TCP on Monday or Tues of this week. Last night I wash and airdried my hair. It frizzed up a lot. I should have put more oil on it but I didn't want too much product in my hair.

I set the TCP for 275 degrees. I used the thermal protection spray and ran it the thru my hair...NOTHING. I thought I was seeing things. So I ran it thru again...NOTHING....I sprayed some of the shine serum they give you and my hair looked better but was still frizzy on the ends.

I turned the iron up to 400 :look: and waited a minute. I ran it thru my hair this time with NTM shine serum (the heat protectant that comes with the iron has Alcohol as the firs ingredient) and it was HOT!!!! My hair definitely got straight this time, the iron glided right thru but I felt the iron was too hot for my fine tex hair. I took bigger sections and finished my head but I would not have gone out with my hair like that. It did not look polished from root to tip like I expected.

Finally I just put my VS steam rollers in (large) for about 5 mins and took them out and my hair looked like a just got a dominican blowout....go figure

Question: What degrees do you use your flat irons. Is 400 normal or too high?

I am sending the iron back on Monday and will get the Sedu. I was not impressed.

Thanks for the shout out. I figure if it didn't work for fine hair, it certainly won't work on my thick hair!

Same here I considering buying for my daughter. oh well :ohwell:

I got this.. but returned it for similar reasons, but also because there's the EXACT same iron at Walmart for 14.99.

I read over on HairBoutique, that it actually malfunctioned and burned some of their hair! The ceramic melted off the plates! It burned the counter of one lady!

That's enough for me to steer clear! :nono:
