So I was out driving today and ran into a BSS I've never been to before. I decided to go in and browse around even though I needed nothing. Lo and behold what I see sitting on the shelf but a 16 oz jar of Affirm Postive Link Conditioner. So I mozy on over to the little tub to check the price. Imagine my disbelief when it was only $10.99
. Now I know for sure it was mismarked because the 5 N 1 was like 27.00. The Positive link is 21.00 @ Sheldeez. So they screwed up and I took advantage. Did I need another conditioner? NO, but it felt sooo good
Good for you! Just think...it helps to make up for all the money you've probably spent in the past on products that turned out to be duds...by the way...Ive never heard of that condit before...please share....
Well it's a part of the Affirm relaxer system. It's one of the steps. It's applied immediately after relaxer is rinsed out to restore porosity and seal the cuticles. I've never used it before, but I use the Affirm relaxer and I don't plan on letting another stylist near my hair with a chemical. So I may definitely need this later in the future.

Is it similar to the 5 in 1?

I've never used the Positive Link before so I can't do a comparison. Wait a sec....let me do an ingredient comparison..
OK, now I'm confused. Both of these conditioners say step 3
. Now that I look at the ingredients, they are very similar. Oh well, I can still use it after my relaxer. I'll just keep using the 5 N 1 ocassionally as a protein.
Both the 5 in 1 Recon. and the Positive Link are step 3 items which are both applied to the hair immediately after the relaxer is rinsed. It all depends on the hair. The 5 in 1 is for damaged, fine or limp hair. The Positive Link is for medium to coarse hair. According to Avlon, it is also recommended for use as a moisturizing deep conditioner.

Thanks for that info
. It states exactly what you said on both bottles. Now it all makes sense. I will use the Positive link for deep conditioning when I need a strong protein.
