I just got my braiding video

I am learning to braid, because I want to start the grow and glory technique for one year. I figure if I learn how to braid it would save me money instead of paying someone $100. Did anyone else try keeping the hair in braids for a long period of time? and did you have an success? <font color="blue"> </font> /images/graemlins/bdance.gif /images/graemlins/band2.gif

I stayed in cornrows the majority of last summer and went from a HORRIBLE ear-length cut to shoulder length. Now my hair is 2 inches past shoulder length. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

wow...that is alot of growth. did you have to trim after you took it out? or where you able to hold on to all the new growth?

I did have to trim, but it wasnt anything drastic. It wasnt more than 1/4". I hadn't relaxed for almost 6 months. I shouldve started transitioning. *sigh*

It's worth it. I bought mine a month ago. I braided my hair for the first time ever a week later. That lasted 3 weeks. Then I rebraided it this past weekend (I finished Fri. night) I went to my cousins and they asked me who did my hair and when I told them I did, they were floor.
