and am very happy that i did. it has 1875 watts which means it gets very very hot. i wasnt even aware that bonnet dryers had that many watts. i've only seen them go up to 1200. anyways, it has two settings only low and high. the low uses 800 while high uses 1875. the one weird thing about it is that it doesnt have regular vent holes all over like other dryers but instead it's all at the top and in the middle. and the air circulates from there. i did a rollerset yesterday using grey rollers and it only took me an hour and 30 min to dry. i did not spend the whole time sitting under it though, i couldnt take the heat(i was sweating on my stomach and my ears were burning) so i had to get up and move around. had i stayed the whole time it would have taken less time. next time i use it i plan on sitting in front of my fan which will be turned on high so i dont get a heat stroke. so all in all i'm glad i finally got a dryer for rollersets. btw it costs 39.99

thats great i think i will look into it what setting were you using low or high?

and how did your rollerset turn out?

high, i wanted it to be quick so i could get it over with.my rollerset was aight. nothing spectacular. i'm thinking i may need to use the smaller purple rollers so that the curls will be tighter/prettier. im sure with pratice it'll get much better.

I had one of those and it did the job but the setting got stuck and I can't switch it to high, so I replaced it with the hot and gold ionic hood dryer which I really like.

Bree...I just looked at your album....your hair is GORGEOUS!!!!! And you're really making me want to get the jilbere dryer...because if you can get out in 1.5 hours, I think I can be out in less than that :)

thanks mocha

i was surprised it only took me that long too but it really does heat up. just wondering, didnt you have the ge bonnet dryer?? dont those heat up as well. i was trying to get one of those off of ebay but the prices always went up to the 30s range, which is crazy.

btw if you can i'd recommend getting it at a store and not online just in case you dont like it and want to return. the first dryer i bought, the very first time i turned it on to see how hot it got, it turned off on me and didnt get that hot in the high setting. i thought maybe it was a normal occurence until it happened on 2 other occasions and finally while my mom was using it she heard a loud popping sound and it turned off on her. i finally then had to take it back and trade it in for another one. the guy assured me that was the first time that anyone returned theres but still.......

god i hope i dont have any problems with mine. the first one i got was defective. i wonder if it has something to do with the high watts. there is a 2 year warranty on it though.

Hey Bree...thanks for the tip...I do have the GE dryer, but I don't know if it's losing power or if it's just because my hair is longer now than when I started using it, but I can't get from under it in less than 2.5 hours (and that's on a good day...usually it's closer to 3). I just can't spend that much time under a hair dryer anymore. I think I'll give the Jilbere a try...I've been happy with the other jilbere products I've used in the past. Never had a problem with any of them. I'll keep the receipt, though, lol.

Hugs,
Crys
