I JUST CAN"T DO IT!!! AAGGGGRRHHH!!

I have been seeing the cutest twist up dos and I have been trying to do it. All I seem to be doing is flat twists! I don't want that!! Can somebody pleeeease tell me how to do them correctly? Thanks!!!

I haven't got a sophisticated answer, I've just put my twisted hair up with pins or clips in the past.
