I just bought a drawstring ponytail today.

I opened the package, and it's HUGE like a horse's tail. I don't even use MTG! Any suggestions on how to make it look less fake or stand out less? Would it look bad if I cut it or thinned it out? It's a Vienna 14" Reversible Bob D.S. Anybody ever had one of these?

Sorry, I don't have an answer to your question. That's one thing that I really hate about hair when it's new. It looks so obviously fake.

I did the samething a couple of summers ago. I pulled that thing out and it was at least a foot long. I put it on and walked into the living room, my husband and brother-in-law laughed so hard that I gave it away to my hairdresser.

I want to try one again for this summer but I don't want it to look like a real ponies' tail . Let me know if you are able to work it out.

I took mine to a local hair cuttery and got it thinned out and drastically cut. It looks very natural like my own hair. It is actually a kinky human hair pony tail. Before it was cut and thinned out, it truely looked like a PONY'S tail. It was ridiuculous!

You can buy thinning shears from Sally's and thin it out.

I normally get the kids ponytails. I don't remember who suggested that but it definitely looks more manageable.

Just go down to the netting and remove a couple of tracks. That will lessen the bulk and still maintain the style. Just take from the middle every other track or so.

Also the reversable ponies are always big like that. Just for future note
