I had a packet of hennalucent sitting in my closet for months and decided to give it a try. I mixed it with warm DI water, 2 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 of castor oil. I left it on for 90 minutes. When I rinsed I felt that roughness but when I wash w/ shampoo it felt better. My hair did not detangle as smoothly as usual but it detangled enough. My hair is still wet so I am not sure what to expect once it's dry. I am going to do a second treatment next Fri. I hope I get better results

What color did you use? Right now I am sitting here with Bark Brown in my hair. Why are you doing another on Friday? Will it make a difference in the color or condition of the hair?

I used the sunset glow. From reading previous post the 2nd or 3rd treatment will give you better results and an effortless slip. SO, that's what I am hoping for

How did you mix yours?

I used the Bark Brown once, but I couldn't get past the bits of wood chips in it. It was very awkward to spread in my hair and it didn't change my hair color that much. I hope that your experience was better than mine was.

yeah those wood chips are aggravating. I mixed in some olive oil and hot water. My hair is sort of red so it has made a major difference in my hair color. It is not blue black but it is black.

Maybe I should do another in about 2-3 weeks because my hair was so tangled after I rinsed and shampooed. Right now I am sitting here with a moisturizing conditioner (Pantene Hydrating Curls) so that I can get my slip back.

I didn't get my slip back either. Hopefully it will come back but it did feel stronger. I lost maybe 3 strands.

Is that wood chips

I didn't even realize it. I saw some small particles but I never would've figured it was wood.
