i heard if you use the same products consistantly yo hair will get used to it and not work as good in the long runand you should switch it up every so often and go back...

but i also heard that if you change products your hair goes into "shock" mode and might get break/shead

hi

i dont think our hair gets used to the products-instead we get product buildup.Hence the products would be less effective in terms of getting into the hair .Hence we need to use a clarifying shampoo to remove the buildup and once that is done- the product will be just as effective.

My hairdress who I actually trust and has hair about BSL maybe midback told me this about my shampoo and conditioner. She said that your hair does get used to the poo and con so it's good to alternate between two. I was using Patene PRO R&N and at first my hair loved it but it seem like it didn't have the same affect it was having intially which is why I asked her about it. I stopped using it for about three months and then used it again not too long ago and my hair just loved it. But I'd did use a protein poo and con which this was before I knew that I needed to switch from moisture and protein. HTH
