I having the hardest time installing nubian twists

i wanted them long so i didnt cut them. they look loose and arent very springy at all. maybe its because i haven't finished them yet..

let me add that those bumps you see is my hair. if i pull on those loops they come right out.

i've never actually done them, so take my advice at your own discretion.
you don't seem to be twisting them tightly enough.
from my understanding, you have to somewhat twist each strand separately as you twist them together.
here's a youtube video that explains this from Mook, a member here. you don't have to necessarily have to start as a twist like she does, but the principle for the rest of the twist is the same.

Thank you Rocky, the hair im using is nubi nubi and according to legend its not supposed to require all that twisting, i will definitely try this method though. i've been on the same section for 40 min trying to perfect it

I've tried doing the Nubian twists and they only lasted two weeks. I was having the same problem you were having, my hair would just slip right out of them. The hair just wasn't the same as kinky twists (too fine/soft/silky maybe?) and I've never tried Nubian twists again because they weren't what I thought they would be.

You also have to twist them a certain way like left to right or right to left. I can't remember which way it was but they had it on the package when I ordered it.

yesss ms christ3n. these were supposed to be my supper protective style but now its like erplexed i swear to me though, if i have to i will retwist these suckas every 2 weeks.

i twisted them over under, right over left, left over right, twist in the middle with a jive on the side.

right now i've decided to braid down a little way, wrap my loose hair on piece of nubi all the way down, then twist over that. its something... ill post more pics as i get deeper in
