The Star of a Story
All week I'm low manipulation/bunning it with hardly any hair loss but when I wash I see hair loss..not alot, but more than I want to see..How do you guys handle this???

Sounds like shedding to me. I experience the same thing, i think some one recommended that i do a light protein bi weekly. This happens when you have lots of NG.

It's normal for hair to shed. If you don't see it on a daily basis, it will come out when you wash. There's really not much you can do about shedding b/c it's normal.

I agree, that's all it is:yep: :yep:

I saw some hairloss when wearing my bun every single day. School started Aug 28th, and I'd been wearing a bun all the way until Sept. 28th, that's when I wore my hair down for the first time in a month. I noticed that while wearing a bun (mainly in the same spot), my hair would break (or shed) from that spot when I would comb it. I realized that I had to switch up the position of the bun a bit. Maybe that's what's happening to you. Is the hairloss from one spot? The spot where you position your bun?

Actually the hairloss is not confined to one spot..though this makes me wonder about bunning in the same spot everyday..I might try switching up to be on the safe side...but other than that I guess it's just normal to shed

I'm the same way. I see the most hair loss/breakage when I wash so that's why I don't wash frequently (every 2 weeks). I don't like to put my hair through the manipulation of shampooing any more than I have to.

I am sure it is natural. Your hair is just doing its thing. If you aren't combing out the dead hair after a week of course you will see some shedding. ;)

It sounds like normal shedding. The hair can normally shed up to 100 hairs per day, which is a part of its growth cycle. When coming daily, you don't notice as much, but when you are bunning, you are not getting rid of the shed hair, so you see it when you take the bun down and wash. Usually not anything to worry about.
