I know a lot of you love this line but I am not a fan at all. I went out yesterday morning and purchased the entire line ( I already had the leave in that i purchased Monday). I washed and rollerset my hair using only those products to see if it would be such a miracle like everyone says it is. My hair did not come out good at all. It was all puffy and not even soft. I didn't use anything other than this and kept it in my normal routine (wash, deep condition, condition, rollerset and dryer).I am very disappointed with this product.I kinda liked the conditioner (regular not deep) but not enough to switch to it. The serum is ok but nothing special. The silk touch leave in and deep conditioner I hate. they did nothing for my hair. This is def. a HUGE miss for me. I am going back to my Nexxus and Jasons Natural Thin-to-thick.
Has anyone else had problems, or just didnt care for, NTM? I thought it was supposed to be super great, what happened???

[gasps] Blasphemy! LOL. Just kidding. I think that the main issue is that your hair type may not be right for it. I see that you're 3B and the majority of those that I know who use NTM are 4A/4B like me. So maybe that's why. You could do a Product Exchange and sell that. I'm sure you'd have tons of people coming to buy it.

Filthy, you took the words right out of my mouth. Now MissFallon, I use NTM, but all of the products do not work for me. A lot of the ladies on the board raved about the NTM Mask...it didn't do a daggone thing for me. My hair was all dry, I was TICKED!!! The Silk Touch, Daily Deep Conditioner and the shampoo worked wonders for me. Oh and that Serum? I snatched that up as soon as I saw it on the shelf. It ain't all that. Pretty much a waste of money for me. Maybe you can sell it or trade it to someone on the exchange board. Matter fact, next time go on there an announce you'd like a sample of it. I just gave someone some free samples of some stuff the other day. :yep:

when i used serums, ntm serum was my favorite!!! Again i'm a 4a head, so maybe this product reacts differently on your hair. I've used the shampoo and didn't like it too much, my hair didn't feel clean at all, in fact it made it feel greasy instead of "moisturized".

Also, I rarely try a whole new set of products on wash day, maybe you should give the products another triy by incoporating one new product into wash day while using other things you KNOW work. This helps me measure how effective a product is and if it fits well in my regime

I never tried the entire line, but the silk touch leave in I do love on wet or dry hair. I'm a Nexxus girl (old one) until it runs out, and unfortunately alot of pple don't get the lovely results I get from using this entire line. It is really true when the say "what works for you may not be for everybody". My advice when trying any new product is to clarify first then give it a try, other than that I would return it and get my money back.

Well, first of all, what works for one won't work for everyone. I don't consider any hair care product a 'miracle' product. It's super great for some, but don't expect hair care products that are super great for some to be super great for you. Hun, it's all about what works for your hair. I hope you still have the receipt so you can take the items back since you hate NTM.

i tried the ntm conditioner and it was ok. i don't have the other products though. i was reading another thread awhile ago and they mentioned to give your hair a minute to adjust to a new line. it took their hair awhile. i will try more products when i finish my other poos/cons

*walks into thread....reads post.....thinks somebody will have to fan Sylver for a minute when she reads...

works for my hair....sorry that it disagreed with the original poster's...it happens unfortunately.:( Hope things turn out better going back to your tried and true products.

wow, I don't think I ever bought any product thinking it was going to be a miracle. I still haven't found any "miracle' product yet..lol.
I know when I first tried NTM leave in I absolutely hated it. It stayed under my sink for nearly a month b4 I tried it again. Now it is my main staple product. I didn't and still don't like the mask. I started using the deep conditioner first, which i loved then added the other products in the line gradually.
Sorry you 'hate' NTM so much after one time. Sigh..well, hopefully u can find what works right for your hair and I'll be happy to take those unwanted NTM products off your hands for a good price:-))

:look: :look:

 ......"I knew you would show up at some point....lol..."

Quick question: Did you clarify before you used this stuff? Sometimes it makes all the difference. (I did before I tried my beloved Elucence.)

I also clarified before I used the NTM stuff and...NO GO. Dry city. Sure did smell nice, though.

Sylver is correct. Not everything works for everyone.

missfallon, can I have your daily deep condtioner!!! :)

But, seriously, although I instantly fell in love with the DDC, it took a few tries to like the leave in. even now, it does not seem to fit into my regimen, but it does moisturize very well and the moisture lasts. I can see why so many ladies love it.

That's what I was thinking. If you just bought it and you really "hate" it, don't keep it under your sink or in the closet for a month or a year and have it taking up space. And the Product Exchange board is also an option but you (most-likely) wouldn't get what you paid for it.

This is what happen to me too. I revisited NTM moisturizer about 2 weeks ago and I love it! Now, I've ran out and Walmart didn't have any the last time I went to purchase it. I'm on the prawl again trying to get some.

I think maybe you should keep it under the cabinet and try it again later. You never know, it may be too soon to judge.

Good Luck

I liked the serum...it wasnt anything special but i dont have one now and like the texture (its really light). I also like the daily deep conditioner but i am still not sure what i am going to do with it, may keep it. As for everything else I am giving it to my friend because i've made it my mission to help her hair probs and she has natural 3c/4a hair so i think it will work on her.
