I so hate this comb! It pulls out my hair. So does my metal pick. I've resigned myself to going back to the plastic pick

I really wanted it to work out between us. Oh well, such is life. :ohwell: :lachen:

Did you use it on wet or dry hair? I had to give up the K-cutter also. It seemed like I was getting more splits and breakage when I used it. One day I took a good look at it and was floored! Where the metal teeth meets the plastic there were sharp shards of plastic sticking up! and the actual part where the hair is supposed to smooth over was kind of sharp if you rub your finger along it's edge. I dont use it anymore and my hair has recovered! So everyone take a good look at your K-Cutter. Maybe I got a cheap knock-off or something.

Sorry it didn't work for you, Tigerlily.

I'm always amazed at how different people have different experiences with products. There just is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to hair care.

YESSSSS!!! i thought i was the only one who noticed that, which is why i dont use it on dry hair or on the whole length of my hair. butttt, it does a fantastic job of detangling my wet hair that's closer to the salp. so, before rollersetting i use it to detangle the hair from the scalp down, but stop as i leave scalp and approach length. does this make sense?? oh well, hopefully you guys know what im talking about.

I used it on wet hair. I would comb very gently from the bottom up. Made no difference. I could actually HEAR my hair pulling and tearing. :cry3:

the reason we can't use the same needle twice in the hospital is because the metal from the needle dulls with each use (and because of germs)...the metal literally begins shear off the sides with each contact with the skin or any surface it penetrates...you can't see them with the naked eye, but microscopically they are there, it begins to look like a little metal pine tree with each use....I attributed this to the K-Cutter and other metal picks, combs, and brushes. I have chosen to toss it.
