For some reason I cannot get my hair to lay down. I wrap it every night and for some reason it ends up looking like crap everyday. It'll lay down whenever I comb it, but 5 seconds later it's standing to the sides like it's trying to run away from my head (mainly in the back. The only time it doesn't do this is right after a touch up. Has anyone ever had to deal with this problem. If so, how did you combat it.

My hair did that when I wrapped it. Stop wrapping for a few nights to see if that helps or wrap in the opposite direction. Also, be careful about wrapping, especially if you have fine hair because it can damage your edges over time.

I agree. I had to lay off wrapping my hair when I was relaxed to avoid damaging my edges.

When I had relaxed hair back in highschool I use to have this problem.

1. I got this problem after my wrap.
2. I tried to go for the straight look, but realized my hair will stick up as my head moves around.
3. I learned that when my hair was relaxed after I washed my hair I would blow dry and flat iron WITHOUT any product. For me it made my hair weightless and it moved, but it also laid down and didn't stick up.
4. Is your hair stiff? Because I know when my hair had product in it back in highschool my hair use to stick up.

I started transitioning in July, but before I trans, and even after when my hair was mostly relaxed I just washed, conditioned, blow dry, and flat iron and my hair was always fine. It was when my hair started to get dirty from product when it would stand up or move away from my head.

Now that I'm natural, when I'm straigh my hair only does that in the back of my head, because my hair is short and when I move my neck it pushes my hair away from my head.

So hopefully you can figure out what works to eliminate that.

I would try to flat iron without product, but I'm too scared of damage. I'm gonna try wrapping in the opposite direction and see if that works. I can't not use any products because I need to supply moisture
