I have auburn hair that gets trashy looking in the summer...the sun is out and my hair is taking a beating.....and I dont like the color..Can anyone think of a safe jet black rinse or even clear i could use to help with shine or something???

I don't know a thing about coloring hair. However, you may want to check into some of the Henna based hair colors. I know that Gabrielle2 colored her hair a brownish color using a Henna dye. You may want to PM her to see if they have colors like black, etc.

Girl I feel your pain...my hair is a mousy reddish brown and I too was in search of a black semipermanent colour. I used Clairol's Beautiful Collection, and my hair came out amazing! I've heard good things about Sebastian's and as soon as I can get my hands on some, I'll be trying it. HTH!

I use a semi called "Kiss" on my mom's hair. I used it in Darkest Brown, but it looks black. Not the greatest with gray coverage, but any other type of coverage is fine.

Patience is there any particular brand of henna based?? Can I use "pure" henna..like the kind you do tattoos with? I'm really considering Sebastians, especially since it's supposedly coat for coating but I want to make sure my hair is in optimum condition first

I honestly don't know. Send Gabrielle2 a PM. I just know that she used a henna dye to color her hair. I have no idea what the brand name was. Sorry...

come on now tameka...(patience) the henna didnt work for me..although it was a great conditioner. in using henna, it takes several applications for it to really begin to show. that process can be sped up somewhat if you are in sunlight a lot (summer time) and i tried this in the fall

i ended up using textures and tones cherry wood for my hair color.i dont plan to continue coloring (no negative experiences) but i will say, that this has been a good product for me (and several others i know) ..i havent had any problems with breakage..drying..or anything. i just make sure that i keep my hair moisture..(which is never a problem)

sorry i dont know anything about rinses or semi permanent colors..other than hearing good things about bigen semi permanent colors

Sorry Gabrielle and Cheerbear! You KNOW my mind is bad!...I thought it was the henna dye that colored your hair. I forgot. My bad!
