What did you use to help with the detangling?

Please share what gave you such a good roller set because I am new at this and I have yet to get it right. My hair is never dry and looks frizzy and "poofy" the next day as if it dried naturally. HELP!!!!!!!! I use a leave-in along with setting lotion for the set. Please save me!

It could be the setting lotion. I normally only use a leave-in and serum.
