Supergirl

With Love & Silk
Aveda Damage Remedy shampoo and treatment. I have used these products before, but never prior to a rollerset. I used a tad of the treatment as a leave-in also. (Thanks to the member that recommended that)

So, what products condition your hair so well that your rollersets come out super-soft and silky?

This might seem weird, but I use Afroveda Hemp Seed Lock, Twist & Roll butter

Its supposed to be for wash and go's but I use it right before rollersetting and my hair comes out like silk

I use Rusk Smoother leave in, CHI Silk Infusion, and water with a little SAA and lotta body in the spray bottle.

tonight i did my first rollerset ever!

i used quemets amla and olive heavy cream (diluted with a bit of olive oil because this batch was twice as thick as the last one) and some lotta body on my wet hair.

i also put some of the amla&olive/extra evoo concoction in an applicator bottle and applied directly to my new growth

then rollerset my hair and put on my soft bonnet dryer

i am protective styling my hair in a bun while rocking half wigs and phony ponies ....and only rollerset tonight to straighten my roots and ween myself off of blowdrying ....

once my rollerset was dry-ish i took out the rollers and applied organix coconut serum to all my parts and massaged it into my roots down to my ends.

i combed and brushed my hair back into a sleek bun, applied a lil more olive oil to my ends to seal, slapped a little Elasta QP Glaze conditioning gel to my temples to slick them back, and voila!

the result is smooth, soft bun, moisturized (non brittle) ends and slick healthy looking temples. While my rollersetting technique is still awkward and inexperienced (i'll get better with time)....i gotta admit im in love with how my hair feels :lick:

and im shedding less than when i blow dry.

im a new rollerset groupie ya'll!

tomorrow i plan on slapping on a curly half wig and a headband while baggying my bun underneath.

I am currently a few inches past shoulder length and am 100% positive that I will be BSB/BSL by my 30th bday in April

I just used the DR shampoo and treatment this morning. I followed up with some Argan oil and a dab of Lacio Lacio. This combo had my hair so soft and silky - the DR doesn't even feel like a protein treatment as the hair is that moisturised. The shampoo feels lovely also, I didn't feel any stripping at all.

I've had this sitting on my bathroom shelf for so long!
