Last week a host on the BET Jazz channel wore a black " I got good hair I got African in me" baby-t. Do any of you ladies know where i can buy this shirt?

Hey Ebony757 i saw that tee plenty of times in Harlem this summer, almost bought it but mine said i got good hair cause i got African in my family or sthg similar :grin: it was many colors white, black, brown, red, yellow. the only reason i did not buy it i did not like the tee material i wanted a regular one, Now that summertime is over i dont know if you can still find it, but i m sure you can it s the street vendors in harlem on 125 th street, i always wanted the white one or black one i even saw a pink one:D ;) :) So good luck girl but you have better chance with the street vendors.
 
I have one in black, it's a riot! I purchased mine in New York earlier last year from a vendor

I want one...this sounds similar to something I say when black people look at my hair and asked me if I have something in my family, I say, "Ummmmm, yea...black and blacker.":D
 
I would love one as well!!! I live in NYC and have never seen this fantastic shirt!!! Please do let me know if someone locates one! Im gonna get me a PINK one!!!! :grin:
 
Ladies, since I live in Brooklyn and my Sig. O lives in Harlem...... I probably have the best chance of running into one of these shirts on any given day. If I do, I will probably pick up a few, in different sizes and colors, to send to folks who are still interested.

Can you guys give me an idea of some of the colors or sizes you might want? Depending on how it looks, Im either gonna get me a small or medium, because i want mine to fit snug and cute like a baby tee. :)

That's where I get my customized stuff from! I got one shirt that says "Supermodel In Training", and for my cousin's b'day I got her a shirt that says "Dentist In Training - Lemme See Your Grill" :grin: .

Kinikakes, if you could possibly post a picture of the original shirt, so I know what it looks like and if I could just make some arrangements to have one shipped to me as opposed to customising one? Pretty please? :p

This is a great shirt to wear when you reach your goal length. Kind of like the big reveal from all this protective styling and .......BAM!!!!!!:eek: ....... you wear your shirt declaring what your African genes have helped you accomplish:D

I definitely want one. I went to the customize t-shirt website like someone else mentioned and played around with designing one. I attached the pic below. Its cool but it'll cost me about $21.00 if I order it. Here is the pic. I definitely want mine to be fitted, Kini. If you can get 'em cheaper than the customization website then I'm in. Let me know if you get them. I wear a small. Click on pic to enlarge it. I guess the tshirt should say "I got African in Me" instead of "African in my Family" like I put it. lololol

Exactly!! :) And you know it's true too. Because I have only known a couple of people with longer hair than I have now :yep: Swedish hair is thin and breaks very easily. I would LOVE to wear a t-shirt like this!

Ekomba, not to get off of the subject but you look great. Did you do a series of colonics w/ diet or did you do just one colonic?

Hey Miss*Tress not at all i pmd you the info MzPrince i so love the shirt i saw like 5 colors in the summer it was i m not sure 5 or 10 doll i dont recall its just the tee material i did not like, not the cotton i like i thought about getting it made too but from afar it was soooooooooo stunning i kept laughing at it there was that one and many other with black slogans it was the main one that grabbed my attention cause it refered to hair of course haha and u expected it to say indian or sthg like that i really liked it :lol: :grin: :lachen: i used to pass it daily in 2-fifth i m sure they must still have it but its not in the stores just the street vendors specially those next to the cds dvds and afrocentric bracelets and incenses. i guess u have to go on a crowded saturday when Harlem is full of life and all the street vendors outside!;)

ETA: I bought some nice afro tees from Soul sista in harlem around 117th street and lenox they so fieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerce with mad afros on it and messages i so love it. they also have a website you can check it out my friends always ask me where i buy those tees they fierce crazy green, pink red with huge fros things like that
