I'm a natural and I flat ironed too much, so I acquired some heat damage. I talked to my friends about giving my hair a rest, and they insisted I get a sew-in. Most of them want me to get it because they are curious how I'll look, I was too. I'm about APL normally and I wanted to get something longer to see how I'll look. Nothing ridiculous. A girl here in Houston did it and I am nervous it may not look as natural as I'd like :perplexed, so I decided to show it to you guys to get your opinions. Please be honest with me on what you guys think about it. It matches my natural hair color and she left some hair out in the front and sides that blended well when straightened. She put tight curls in it for volume that have since fallen to look more natural.

Give me your honest opinions, Ill post my hair before and after. Sorry for huge pics.

i think it looks really natural! love the side swept bangs. and the color matches really well. i would not even know that was a sew in!

Actually, it doesn't look much different from your "before" hair. Meaning it looks very natural. :yep:

Sew-ins are nice as a protective style when you still want to wear straight styles.

I like it, it looks really natural, whoever did it did a good job, makes me think I should reconsider getting one for the summer. Now can I ask a question what color was that lipgloss that you have on in the night out pic?

It looks very pretty and so do you.. OK now where did you get it done and what kind of hair did you use?:look: Im debating whether I should do a sew in for the summer also...

It looks really nice, you blend very well which is especially important. It's a little more length than your natural hair, but it's not so drastic that it would be a huge deal.

and the eyeshadow as well, normally I wouldnt probably consider that color in the store, but you chocolate girlies wear it so well I think I might take a plunge.

Thanks so much ladies, I truly appreciate it, and I hope you guys aren't just being nice. For those who asked, the hair I used was Goddess Remi in 1B and the lip gloss I have on is Mac in nude. I think it's called Illicit. The blue shadow is Mac's blue pigment. It's the only one in that shade, I forget the name and it's blended with Carbon for a sort of smoky eye effect.

As for the hair, it's definitely a silkier texture than my natural hair. Notice in my own hair, even straightened, it has a texture to it and believe me, I ironed the mess out of it to get it that straight. I was just hoping I don't look you know, overly fake. Thanks for those who feel it looks natural.

It looks great! You and your friends are very pretty!

ETA: Is your friend wearing that hat because she just turned 30?! She looks great!
