Th3 tips, advic3 & compl3m3nts here are trully beneficial to us all and i just wanted to tell all u beautiful ladies THANK YOU......

Now l3t me introduce my self i go by tyte curlz bc, well... i have tyte curlz & i love them to death :D . i had my last relaxer DEC '03 my freshman year in college. It sort of just happened i never really had long hair the longet was about below the neck and my junior year in high school i found a GREAT stylist and i cut my hair into a pixie (Nia Long) to get a fresh start bc my hair was a HOT MESS. for about 2 years i was a bi-weekly customer getting tuch ups to manage the look. And my stylist did a wonderfull job, my hair thrived under her care. But ne way after i entered college i realize that i could not simply afford her ne more and so i would just try to manage my cut mys3lf ... the next thing i know i have a lil' fro. i really didnt know what to do, i just knew chemicals where not for me. i would just wear a scarf every where, bc i just assumed it would grow by itself without ne moisturizing or ne thing (I was SO stupid but live and learn). It grew enuff to the point where i could get cornrows with extentions and that became the style of choice for about 7-8 months. i thought that bc i wasnt using a chemical that pressing would be the other option and so every other week or so i would get my hair pressed and then braided...(Yea i know now that was simply TOO much stress on my hair) so my hair continued to grow and then would shed and break off dramatically and i just kept my same routine.

in '06 i ran across some sites like motowngirl.com and fotki and a lot of the ladies would mention LHCF and i simply did a GOOGLE search i have been hooked since. After so many helpful tips i decided to do a mini bc july '06(cut off damaged ends do to excessive heat and breakage) and try again. And i'll admit i have been lazy about the whole thing but this is a learning process and i am in it for the long hall. but i am trying to really stick with a strong regime. there are just sooooo many products that i want to try that are mentioned here that i am not sure what is working for me as of yet. in the year or so my hair has improved dramatically im not saying im at waist length or even brastrap im not sure im at shoulder length yet. ( i plan on pressing my hair today the first time in over a year, wow that even amazes me thanks once again ladies i sercretly participated in th no heat challange and my hair said thank you in a big way:grin: ).but ill post a starting point picture ASAP so that i can track my journey to HEALTHY NATURAL HAIR..

off to officially join some challanges
