That's it I'm fed up I just can not take this hair nosense any more it's consuming my life and honestly it is NOT WORTH ALL THE STRESS! I'M done.

A bad hair month? What happened? Please don't give up :), I have days where I just want to throw in the towel but I try to stay determined and "hang-in-there" because of how far I've come.:yep:

Don't give up. Look at hair care like all of the other things you do - picking out your outfits, cleaning your place - just one of the things you have to do.

I made a decision a long time ago that taking care of my does not have to be time consuming or be filled with drama and stress. I even look at my skincare and makeup (or lack of it) in the same way.

It should be simple and not that serious, you know.

What problems are you having? Someone here is sure to give you some pointers to make easier.

Maybe you just need a break from the hairboard? I am sorry you are having a bad month, it will get better,Don't go shaving nothing off LOL!!! That is too much progress to let one month frustrate you, may be you can try to put your hair away for a moment and then just cool down:sad: I know how you feel and that is why I have been bald headed for almost 4 years, I get frustrated and chop then regret:sad:

Lets just say I have had a bad hair month:wallbash: I ready to shave it all off...

Resist the shaving. That's what I usually did back in the day! I was always trying something that had disasterous results! LOL! Now that I have resisted "the scissors" (promised Mommy), I'm kinda liking my hair. Okay, not at first, 'cos I was a bit lazy, but I'm learning more. On days that I'm mad at it, it gets one wrap of a scrunchi and POOF! One big afro puff bun!

Don't give up:nono:... Maybe you can stop coming to the boards or use braids or wigs but don't cut.. I get like that sometimes that's why I've been wearing braids for the last 7 months..

dont cut your hair, may be just take a break from the board, or just keep it simple.
If you see my join date, you will realise that i took a break for a while based on number of posts, i just decided to spend more time with my newborn son last year, i only started back at the forum this year when he turned 9 months, he is one now.
Just do what make you feel better for now, but dont chop it off though.

May I make a suggestion, as long as you are feeling this way don't do anything to your hair. If you still feel this way when you are calm that is different.

For now I would recomend you braid it up, twist it up and put it away. Do something different, wear a wig, a hair peice, hide your hair, but leave it alone right now.

Do you have any scarves, tams, headwraps, etc?

As long as you are focusing on it, that is what is on your mind.

This is a journey and it has hills and valley's and right now you sound like you are in a vally. Keep walking through it until you get to the other side.

Out of sight out of mind! Why don't you find someone to cornrow your hair and get a sew-in weave; or have braids installed and then take a break fron this hair board. That way you are giving your hair and your mind a break from constantly dealing and talking about hair care.

so true! whenever I get in a hair rut, I throw some braids in for about a month and it always works itself out. I also find that when I am in braids, I do visit the board less often. I don't really enjoy braids as much as my own hair, but they can be a great benefit when needed - weaves, too.

What she said! :yep:

Everybody has given great advice.

I do the same when I get fed-up with my hair, I just put it up so that I dont have to see it for a while

Taking a break from the board might also help.

Don't give up! Don't make a quick decision. You just need a break from your hair and just like everyone said maybe you should get braids, a weave, a wig, something where you do not have to fret with your hair on a daily basis. This will give you some time to reflect on your regimen, maybe it's too much? Maybe you need to keep it simple.

We don't want to lose you (((((((hugs)))))))

Please don't make any hasty decisions while you are frustrated :nono: Plus, I highly doubt that shaving your head is going get rid of your hair-related stress  Take this as a sign that you need to focus your attention on something else for a while to take your mind off of hair...braids sound like a good option, like the other ladies were saying.

I bet after a break from your hair (and maybe the board) you'll feel refreshed and ready to map out a new plan of attack. Just take it one day at a time, and don't ever let your hair own you!

Don't give up hun- I agree with everyone on the board. Take a break- I just put in some smallish twists over thanksgiving and I feel way less frustrated. I have a style that is easy, cute, that I can work w/in a variety of ways. I plan to keep doin twists until I get tired of them or I just feel like taking them out. Follow the ladies advice and pick a carefree style to work with. Good luck

Awwwww thanks ladies I don't even know how to respond. Thank you for all your support! I had a terrible experience today at the dominican salon it followed the gutwrenching results I got from self texturizing last night. I had been streching my relaxer for 4 months and practicing CG. The story goes on and on but I don't want ro dwell on the negative. I going to take your advice and take a break from my hair and the board. I will be resting in a phony pony and hopefully by next week (my B day!) a weave. When I take out the weave I will probably be doing a corrective to texlax and giving my self an aggressive trim. I need some time to think about this though a break is just what I need. Again thank you.
