I saw this at Walgreens last week and almost picked it up, but opted instead to get something else. Now I kind of wish that I had gone ahead and bought it. Honeydrop, how do you like it so far?
No, no, ladies....I have to clarify--I said I use the honey wave glaze when I wear my texturized hair AIRDRIED....it's a good product for defining curls without being heavy or greasy. Actually, I've never tried it with the bantu knots--but it does encourage shine and hold--so I'm sure it would work great with that as well....
Modelchick,
Do you scrunch this product into your hair when it's wet?damp? dry? Also what is the consistency? From the name it sounds like it would be THICK.
I'm still on the lookout for a good shine enhancer for my wash and wear style.
Thanks Honeydrop and others for the lowdown. I wonder if I can make it to Walmart on my lunch break . . .
It's very thin chanteuse. My friend used it the other day on freshly washed hair and she said it made her hair feel sort of 'hard' but not necessarily in a bad way. i presumed that it felt that way b/c it was wet. I'll call her now and c how her hair turned out and i'll repost.
It has a watery texture--it's not heavy at all. And yes, I run it through my hair while it is damp.
I can't say that it makes my hair feel "hard"--but that may be because when I wear my hair airdried, I also use Elasta QP Mango Butter--which may deter that affect....
She said she didn't really notice a difference in using the glaze as opposed to her not using it a few days earlier. She didn't notice any incredible shine or anything. She attributes this to be because she in need of a touch-up.
She also said her hair is now 'frizzy'. She attributes this to the glaze. But, i should also add, that she usually uses suave conditioner but she opted not to b/c she was using the glaze.
MC - when i do my braid out, i usually put a little conditioner in it (suave naturals coconut) while wet just to keep my hair moisturized until i do it again. This eliminates the need to oil my hair.
chanteuse - i've seen that too... i was thisclose to getting it until my girlfriend picked up the wave glaze
Oh--I see.....I use to leave conditioner in my hair sometimes a long time ago--but I found that once the hair dries--it looks a little "dull".....you don't get that?
BTW, try using some motions foam wrap (a handful of foam) right before you braid it. That baby will keep your hair shiny and soft and not stiff at all if, that is, if u want to rock the style for at least a week.
