I thought that I would update everyone on my hair progress. When I first came to the hair boards my hair was breaking bad, very thin and I was missing a section of hair in my nape. I haven't had a nape in about 3 years. My hair is still a work in progress but I'm gald to see some change in my hair.

ETA: I forgot to add this, LOL. I like to Thank all of the ladies of LHCF for giving me knowledge about hair care. I learned so much from all of the women on LHCF.

Fantastic!!!! The nape, the poor nape is one of our most difficult challenges. Congrats on getting the upper hand in the area!

Congrats on your progress. You have manged to do something that I have been trying to do for two years! Like BrooklynSouth, I am in need of the advice also. Please post what you did! TIA

Good job liz, now spill the beans on what you did to grow your nape back. I am thinning edges for perm abuse and I bought ORS fertilizing serum last week so I can't wait until 2 months to atleast atleast see some little fuzz or sumthin:)

In response to what I did to improve my nape area:

When I first joined the hair board my hair was breaking and dry. I was introduced to protein treatments through hair boards. I didn't know what a protein treatment was before joining. I was not deep conditioning or shampooing my hair on a regular basis and relaxing every 6 weeks. I started deep condition once a week then I started doing protein treatments and eventually the breakage slowed. I would always do the nape separate from the rest of the hair and kept it moisturize. Then I started stretching my relaxer and relaxing the nape the last. I have tried the growth products such as MTG and Surge but my hair didn't grow any faster than normal. Before the hair board I couldn't keep my nape from break or growing consistently. That's about it. Thanks so much for the comments!

Liz,You are an example of what s little TLC can do for your hair. Keep up the good work!!!!
