...I feel ugly... (ALOT of pics)

Last summer i got wavy micro braids. They looked great on me, but since everyone is wearing them now i decided to try something different... i got two stand twists with the ends loose, and i added a goldish blonde/brown color. I like it i guess, what bothers me is that it looks... fake. A lot of people thought my wavy micros were my own hair, so i'm kind of disappointed... I guess this is silly of me, since it really isn't my hair... but anyways i'll share pictures:

I don't see anything wrong with your braids. They're cute and very neat. You could do a lot of styles with them.

nope! she just twisted down, near the ends then knotted it. it was faster than micro braids...but only by 1-2 hours.

I think the twists are hot! The micros were cute, but IMO they didn't look like you real hair either so if that's your major concern disregard it.

I had this problem with my last set of braids. I think it was the hair I chose. I am just putting the front part back in a bun and letting the rest hang loose in the back. It got easier as it grew out. They have been in for 2 weeks now and feel a lot better and easier to pull back until I get better looking ones.

I think your pictures look great, but I do know how you feel.

That's good advice. Thank you! I'm actually starting to enjoy them... I guess I just needed to get use to them plus find styles other than wearing it completely down.

Both styles look good on you girl! I know that whenever I get a new style I have to get used to it those first few days and them I'm lovin it. If not I'll throw a scarf on it real quick and in a hurry. I have to at least get some of my money's worth before I take it down.

How do you take care of your twists? Like... do you wash? and how often? I've already had 3 of them come out!

Maybe you could use the kinky hair next time? They tend to look more natural.

I agree with you. I was going to say, they look "heavier", which may over power your face. If you feel they do experiement with up do's and pony's. But I think they look fine. You are pretty either way.
