Girl, you did good! I had 0 transition time. I am due for my one year update pictures, stay tuned for those. My hair grew fast after my big chop. I enjoyed growing the new hair better without dealing with the transition from relaxed to natural. The relaxed hair would have just been in my way. All I had to do was, wash and go. Hats off to you for your progress. Continue with the good work.
If you've convinced yourself into thinking of change just do it. I never contemplated going natural, at all. One weekend, while attending my drill, my hair was a "hot mess," I decided that next day to go a barber and get that relaxer cut out. If you look at my fotki, you'll see. I'm so glad, I did it. I still get compliments about my short hair. It's not so bad...
I want to thank everyone again for the support. I really appreciate it.
I'm putting twists in my hair right now and they feel great. My mother is so excited for me. I'm also taking this time to cut off the rest to the straight pieces.
DdTexlaxed- I wore my hair in buns for the entire transition. I would flat iron occasionaly but even still I would throw it into a bun.
