So after the transiton that would never end i finally reached the end of my rope last night. I told myself I would wait until my birthday in December but I just couldn't take it anymore :drunk: I've been wearing weaves most of the year and I just took down the one in my avi on Monday. I was rinsing out my DC last night and was like what am I waiting for? So I got out of the shower and started cutting. And then I chickened out and stopped lol. Then I got up this morning and cut the front and got a friend to finish the back. There are still a few straight ends left that I will keep going thru the next few days and cutting. Overall I am happy that I transitioned this long...I am so in awe and inspired by all of you that do it all right away or just after a couple months. For everyone else on the transitioning journey--hang in there. I am still on the weave challenge for the rest of '08, so i'll be getting my next install in a couple weeks. In the meantime I will be playing in my 'fro :grin:

Awww thank you everybody! I was so scared all these months and now i'm like what the heck was I waiting for??? Now I can use all the products I've been buying that have been sitting under the sink since I didn't want to waste them on weave hair :)
 
I've been on this board for a few months and I'm seeing the most beautiful natrual hair I've ever seen. I dont know....this "stretch" might turn into a "transition" soon if yall don't stop.
 
congrats honey! we got our last relaxers around the same time (but i bc'd in june). i cant wait to hear how you feel when it's time to get that weave back in...
