I'm somewhat of a newbie and I've been transitioning for about 17 months. Prior to me transitioning, I colored and permed my hair. For the longest my hair was 2 colors, dark brown at the roots and light brown at the ends. Being on this site has taught me a lot about keeping my hair healthy and just loving my natural hair. So last week, I did it. I did a semi big chop. I had my cousin(she's a hairdresser in Pembroke Pines, FL) cut it in layers and cut the color and permed ends off. I love the cut and the freedom I feel from my natural hair. Check out my fotki and tell me what yall think!!!!

Your hair looks great. I know in about a year or so I'll be going through the same thing as to where your ends are colored and the majority of your length is its natural color.
