I did it, I wasn't going to use heat but I was just too curious since the stretching isn't always accurate. I straightened a section of my hair where it ususally grows the longest fastest and it's resting @ the bottom of my brastrap and I already did my dusting trimm

I've had some setbacks getting to and passing BSL but things are looking good now. :woot: WSL here I come.( Getting my party started early) I don't know if I'll make the challenge of WSL by 12.2005 but I'll be really close.

CONGRADULATIONS!!!:band2: I'm excited for ya!!I love when pple accomplish new things..

Thanks I'm so pumped to keep on growing this hair out now even if I make waist some time in 2006 that's cool too, as long as I get there. And I am so not going to any stylists this is the 2nd time I'm @ lower BSL because some scissor crazy stylist messed me up.

Congrats!!!!!

What do you think was the most important part of your regimen in helping you to reach BSL? Also I noticed that you use a hair steamer. How does the steamer help with your conditioning treatments? Where did you buy your steamer and how much did it cost?

Thanks
The most important was getting keeping moisture in my hair so that It wouldn't get dry and split(I had braids so it was very drying), the baggie method and protective styles help keep moisture in th ends esp. also CW have really done well with my hair. The other thing is not to measure often just do your thing at let it grow, I won't even think about checking the length again until 12.2005 when WSL challenge is up. That way I don't get too obseesive or drive myself crazy, get discouraged and give up.
The steamer really helps me do intense deep conditioning treatments better than a dryer or heat cap because of the water/steam goes into the hair and makes it softer and ends healthier.I bought mine from beuaty beauty usa it's the portable one you can call them and ask for the portable table top model-there's no pic of it on the site though. About $70 for the steamer w/o shipping. hth
