Um, thanks...I had to reread and see what I said...:look::lachen: I don't really care though...it's all love.

Well in that case....

DC - giovanni smooth as silk deeper moisture
oil rinses (evoo and grapeseed oil)
castor oil
scarves
suave conditioners
coconut cream/milk
jilbere comb.

goodluck with your transition.

Nice thread hair twin!!!

Subscribing to it... I am 18 weeks post and cowashing and also DC'ing seem to be helping a lot :-)

Braids. This was before I knew about healthy hair practices so I never used any products.

I couldn't have transitioned without my half wigs. I kept my hair braided underneath and did not have to worry or deal with the 2 textures except on wash days.

The thing that helped me the most was figuring out the things that didn't work for me.
#1 - I was forcing the air drying issue...bad idea! Once I realized that some low blow dryer heat wasn't going to make my hair self destruct, life got much easier.

#2 - once I got deeper into my transition with more new growth the detangling issues increased. Silicon Mix helped with this but what really helped was detangling with my head submerged in water. I would run a bath (usually using shampoo as a bubble bath) Get in, lay on my back with my hair under the water and detangle with a shower comb with the hair under the water (one section at a time) 3 or 4 sections.

Couldn't have transitioned without my LHCF! You ladies gave me the confidence to do it, the tools to keep going and the mentality that natural hair is beautiful (no offence but now I think its even more beautiful than relaxed hair could ever be)

One product would have to be ORS Replenishing Conditioner. Deep conditioning and conditioner washes are the best but lately the one consistent ease has come from that ORS.

Months:
1-5: my flat iron
6-7: CON conditioner, or homemade conditioner and flat iron or twist out
8: Boar bristle brush, Fantasia IC gel (bunning)
9: weave...(it was either a sew-in or a relaxer...lol)

#1. Fantasia IC Gel
#2. A pony tail holder
#3. Weave
#4. Flat iron
#5. My hair stylist
#6. CURRENTLY, rollers and a dryer for a rollerset.

in order of most important
distilled water in a spray bottle
coconut oil
denman brush for detangling with conditioner and after i dc
shea butter
leave in for extra moisture if i dont feel like using my spray bottle
learning how to wash my hair the proper way instead of piling it up on my head got that from the crown and glory method
