With Love & Silk
Makeup Alley has ZERO negative comments about Neutrogena Triple Moisture, but lots of raves for it so...

I was in Kroger picking up the Suave Citrus Smoothie conditioner that Jade21 raved about and the Neutrogena Triple Moisture called to me. I picked up the shampoo, mask, and silk-touch leave in. The packaging is pretty and I'm an easy sell if the packaging is cute. (I know--pathetic)

Anyway, I'm going to try them out this evening and will report back.

Supergirl I started off with the mask and ended up with the whole line! And my hair feels like butta!

Well, no autographs but it was well aware of who I am and about the big hair product convention that was going on at my house

Man..Supergirl it's hard to stop even after you find something that is great like Elucence and DB.

Have you purchased the conditioner product Carmelhonee raved about. I think it's by St Ives (not sure about the name).

No, which St. Ives? I've been looking for the St. Ives Strength & Shine that CH and Jade have raved about, it is nowhere to be found.

It is hard to stop--especially since this is actually a hobby of mine. I mean what good would I be to you guys if I didn't test products out for you all and report back? What good would I be if I didn't try things out to keep you from spending your hard earned dollars on things that may be a bust? But Elucence and DB are still my babies.

I also just re-ordered my Biosynthesis Phix conditioner. It's a good one to keep on hand too.

I'm sorry Supergirl. That was Caramelhonee who tried it and it's called the St Ives Fortifying Reconstructor but it behaves more like a moisturizing conditioner. I think it's at drugstore.com. So far it's not in any store around me.

Ok what's this Bio conditioner? I haven't seen that review. Where do you purchase this?

Girl you know I need you with all those great reviews.

Thanks Supergirl! I am in braids and will buy this for next month when I take em out.

I also wanted to say that I never ever want to get my pjism under control.
I love being a pj way too much. It's a great great feeling!

Actually I have--the shampoo is a gentle clarifying shampoo. The leave-in is very moisturizing and alittle goes a long way. I'm not even 1/4 of the way through my 1st 8 oz. bottle of the leave-in.

Just when I was telling myself I was gonna get my PJism under control . . .

I swear I can think of something that I could go buy from the BSS everyday but I have to stop myself!!! I'm gonna try that Neutrogena Triple Moisture stuff, I was eyeballing it at Target myself.

Anybody tried that John Freida Brilliant Brunnette line of products?

Supergirl, I checked out the Biosynthesis website and read the testimonials...the products sound great...I have a question: How often should one used the shampoo since it is a "clarifier"? They make it seem as if you would use it with every wash. I wonder did those people really grow their hair with these products...

Lisatamika... I tried the conditioner in the Brilliant Brunnette line, but didn't like it at all. My hair felt dry and coated.

On the other hand, I've been using the Neutrogena Triple Moisture shampoo and conditioner and have been loving them. I think the shampoo is the superior of the two products though. Since getting TRed my hair has been reacting strangely if I dont both shampoo and condition my hair everyday so I've been on the lookout for a gentle shampoo that leaves my hair feeling clean. The conditioner is very moisturizing, but doesn't provide a lot of slip for my hair. (I use a tiny bit of Redken's Smooth Down Butter Treat as a leave in to detangle.) HTH... Ashley

Ahh you are killing me super girl!
Ive been eyeing this line for a couple of weeks now! Im sitting on pins and needles waiting on this product review. I have that St Ives strength and shine and I HATE IT! Its been sitting under my sink for two long UGH!!!

Please let me know how your product TRY goes. I love me some JOICO ( which has easily replaced that DB-EVen though it is very nice!) but Im willing to try anything once!
Holla!

I have the neutrogena shampoo, conditioner, and silk touch leave in, and I've used them all a couple times. I love the shampoo, the conditioner is 'ok', and I had to use goo-gobs of the leave in cream for it to do anything for me.
I think its pretty good for a drugstore line though.

I've been using both of the leave-ins as a daily moisturizer. They smell like Calgon Hawaiian Ginger lotion or like Honeysuckle.

Alrightee, let's talk business:

My hair is still alittle damp and I would rather give the review after it's fully dry, but y'all know how that goes--don't want to wait too long. I'll post again if anything changes

*Triple Moisture Shampoo: This is a very creamy shampoo--almost the consistency of a conditioner. It reminds me alot of L'Anza's old version of Protein Plus shampoo. It cleaned without stripping. The only con was that I found that there was a slit in my tube of the shampoo that I guess got there when the store cut the box open
mad.gif

*Triple Moisture Mask--cool product, thick consistency, feels very good on the hair. It's very different from other products. When I rinsed, I did get very good slip but not that amazing "conditioner being rinsed from the hair feeling" that alot of conditioners give. But I could tell that my hair was moisturized when I rinsed. My hair also had a different kind of softness to it and some weight. (not a bad weight, but a weight like something good had been added to it)

*Triple Moisture Silk Touch Leave In: Doesn't take very much of this product on the hair. It adds GREAT combability to the hair.
I really liked this about this product. With every inch, combability becomes more and more important

All 3 have a light kiwi type fragrance--very soothing and very pleasant.

The bottom line: This does indeed moisturize the hair. It didn't blow me away or anything, but I would use it again. I like the way that my hair feels (the dry parts_. It has that soft, silkiness that I described in another thread about what moisturized hair feels like.

My girls that are just anti-protein will love this product because it doesn't have a LICK of protein in it, but amazingly I only lost a few hairs in the process. That's probably another reason I'm not turning flips for it --b/c I prefer protein in my conditioners, even moisturizing ones.

But like I said, my hair is moisturized and I can tell. I would use this again. The price is good. The quality is as good as any that you'd find in a salon product and for my PJ's that just like to try things out for fun (like me) you HAVE to try it. I think you'll enjoy it!
