I wish I could say I planned it, but the truth is I woke up and my head was lookin' a hot mess. (I fell asleep on the couch so I didn't have my head tied up or anything. Plus, my hair in general has not been on point lately -- I've been too busy to really give it any TLC.) So, since my hair was all over the place, I just decided to wash it and start over. I put some Queen Helene on my head and then let it sit for a few minutes while I brushed my teeth and whatnot. Then I rinsed it out in the shower. Since I was running short on time (I overslept), I just went straight to conditioning . . . washed that out, then I towel-dried and put in the leave-in conditioner. Pulled it all back into a bun with my hair in a "snood" (basically a bow with netting in the back to catch the excess hair). Since it was netted, my ponytailed hair dried very nicely. Plus, since it was HOT outside today, having my hair wet helped keep me cool.

I did forget to put on moisturizer, but I will do that tonight. Overall, co-washing worked out well for me. I think I'm going to have to do this more often (especially on hot summer days)!

CO washes are the greatest. I get up in the morning and CO wash and it makes me feel cool, from head to toe. I have to wet mey hair in the morning because it is hot and I love it. I think I've gotten some newgrowth from it!

Congratulations on your co-wash! I did one yesterday myself after having sworn off them because conditioner touching my scalp would really make it itch. Yesterday I made sure to avoid getting conditioner on my scalp and I liked the experience. Before I used to put massage conditioner on my scalp and that didn't work for me. I agree, co washes do work nicely for wash n goes.
