I did a Henna trtmt. last week. Could this be why the flakes are orange/red? Is it still safe to relax or is this a bad sign?

Sounds like you didn't get all the henna out of your hair and off your scalp.
But you shouldn't have a problem relaxing.

yeah... just means the henna stained the skin on your scalp and your scalp is flaking.
