It takes alot of practice but you'll get it.If I can do a full rollerset on my natural hair then that means there is hope for everybody. You just have to find the right combo of tools for you hair.

My hair is already sectioned in four parts before I put rollers in my hair. It makes roller setting quicker. Do your "Mohawk" first when roller setting (if you don't know what I mean, please feel free to PM me). Keep practicing! You can do it!

Whoever said to keep the rollers wet helped me overcome a huge hurdle:yep::yep::yep::yep:

That as well as keeping the hair soaking wet, using tension(Macherie's roll-roll-pull method),and setting my hair with minimal product really helped me:yep:

My hair used to be one big puffy mess before that!

For those that stressed ponytail rollersets, Big Ups!.I have done it twice in one week and my hair came out amazingly smooth and bouncy. Its Rollersetting for Dummies and its enough practice to learn to do them without the pony holders. I use rubber bands, so when its time to take it out, I just cut them. Be very careful with that of course and u should be fine. Put your products in hair, I use LTR Leave In and coconut oil. Section my hair off and put rubber bands in. Roll my hair on the rollers. Apply clips. Put net on and sit under dryer for an hour. When done, I cut the rubber bands. Pocahontas uses rubber bands as well. HTH!

Practice makes perfect ladies! :)
It's the best thing I've ever learned to do for my hair.

I learned back in March and my hair has had tremendous growth since; sorry I gotta update the siggy. ;)

It may take some time, but it's soo worth it.

I agree! It took a while for me to learn how to do it decently, but now I can rollerset my entire head (somewhat neatly) in 30 min. My hair feels softer and looks healthier in comparison to me flat ironing my whole head after an air dry.

When I first started out, it would take me like an hour and 15 and I would constantly have to re-wet. Then the hair would be poufy and blech, but now it comes out sleek and I just flat iron the roots if I have NG.

Rollersetting is definitely a skill worth learning, practice does make perfect and its such a healthy styling method. I started out with snap on rollers and ponytail rollersets and then graduated to doing full on regular rollersets.

Don't give up, it's worth the effort. Also practicing dry sets can be easier too. I used to do those with snap on rollers on dry hair in the beginning of my rollersetting journey.
