Elasta QP Mango butter. I took a chance and brought this because I was tired of Profective (and the smell, YUCK!!!)

I just had a fresh relaxer and was kind of leary putting it on my hair, but I did it anyway and was instantly in LOVE. This stuff is superb. It left my hair light, non greasy and with a delicious smell.

I have a new keeper and am mad that I have passed this product up soooooo many times.

I always see the elasta QP line in the BSS but I never know which one to get and for what purpose...lol I am glad that you like it

I knew what you were talking about even before I opened up the thread:grin: Glad you found something that works for you!

I've been trying to get my hands on this stuff for years..I don't think they carry it here:sad:

I love using this to smooth out my edges. I just apply a little bit and smooth out with a toothbrush then apply a scarf for about 5 mins, and then I'll have nice smooth straight edges for the entire day. It's been my staple for years.

Yeah it IS pretty awesome! @ "Love in a jar" hehehe

I usually put it on my edges but every now and again I'll brush it through out my hair and put it into an updo.:lick:

I use it as a daily moisturizer and seal with coconut oil. I love it. It's so lightweight and not greasy at all.

What a coincidence...I tried today for the first time ever... and I seriously felt in lovvve with it as well... my hair is so smooth and yummy  I am glad it can be used as a daily moisturizer, it's going to be a staple for me from now on.

Just to be straight to the point here! Mango Butter can jack your hair up! Its actually meant to used as a heat protectant! read the jar , the little writing! using it as a moisturizer, which it only somewhat is, can lead to dryness and hardness. Now I love my mango butter and have for years. But over time it has its downfalls so just a fyi, should you run into any problems. its best when used on wet hair, and used with an oil and the instant cure for the 'downside' of the mango butter is the QP Recovery!

I use it as hair dressing/ gel replacement because it sorta behaves as a gel for smoothing down hair, and it has some of the gel downsides over time

maybe heads of hair may differ but I dont think this product is a good daily moisturizer when used alone, at first it is, but not over time. my suggestion is keep it because its a keeper but keep on the look out for any downsides/dryness and be ready to use it with another moisture product

It didn't work well for me at all! I don't know if I put too much or what, but it made my hair feel hard, not moisturized.
It did smell heavenly though. I gave it to my sister for my 2 year old nieces and it works fine on their hair. :ohwell:

I just picked up a jar last night - I'm almost out of my current one. Love the smell too. I use it to sleek down my edges and to moisturize wet hair. Always seal with and oil afterwards though - I use coconut oil and my hair loooooves it.

How funny. I bought a jar last week....I tried it in a little sample packet and loved it. I use it when my hair is wet and follow with a bit of oil. Fabulous and smells great!!! KUDOS to MANGO BUTTER!!!!
