Please pick your answer in the poll and tell why. I'm going shopping for a new one before Christmas and some have the attachments and some don't. Not sure if I should bother with looking for one that comes with them or not.

Also, tell whether or not you've had good or bad experiences blowdrying with one of the other methods that you didn't choose. TIA!!!

I have a BaByliss Thermal Ionic Dryer and I absolutely adore it! It came with a concentrator nozzle only, so I use that, and I really like it. My hair always turns out better with the nozzle than with just the blow dryer. Also, I bought one of those Conair vent brushes to use with it and I like that as well.

I use my ionic dryer with a handheld brush or sometimes the nozzle.

I've never used a brush while blowdrying. I've always used the comb attachment. How do you use it? On wet or damp hair? I'm scared the brush might take out my hair.

I use Gold n' Hot dryer with the comb attachment. It has two rows of teeth, not just one. It's 19.99 @ Sally's, can't beat it!!!

I used to use the comb attachment but I don't think it's a good idea. Now I use either a denman with the blowdryer or with the nozzle attachment.

ditto 4 me. (I dont blow dry often at all. Those things are the devil in disguise.

I only really blow dry when I am about to trim my hair or have some special occasion to go to, but I use a brush to pull out the roots ( if I have NG) and use the concnetrator attachment to blow the roots straight. One all of the roots are straight. I Turn the temp down and remove the concentrator to blow out the rest of it dry.

Last night my mom blew her hair out with a handheld brush, not the bristle kind but it was plastic. She told me she always does her hair with it but I never noticed until last night. She made it look so easy.

When I did blowdry, I used to use a Babyliss hairdryer. I think its about 10 yrs old  but works wonders. However, I went back to blowdrying, I would buy an ionic one

i love your hair. it's so pretty. i can tell it be just a swangin!

I like the brush attachment on my vidal sasoon dryer. I just got a hot air brush so I'm hoping that it will be even easier to handle because of the size and shape. Also my air brush is ionic and has ceramic so hopefully it will be better for my hair than the vs.
I've tried using separate combs and brushes but find it easier to use something attached.

I don't use a bristle brush, I use the vent brush. It helps to straighten newgrowth especially when you ng is super bushy. Sometimes I start out with a comb just to get it at least 70% dry and then I use the brush the rest of the way to straighten.

I use the comb attachment makes it easier for me. I could do the seperate brush thin until my hair grew past my neck and ot thick as heck...I tried after it was shoulder length and lost wayyy too much hair...

I first start out with just the blow dryer and then I put on the comb attachment. I tried it with a handheld brush before, but I got all type of tangles. Never heard of a brush attachment before though.

Brush attachments are usually on hatchet style dryers or hot air brushes like this:

Ah hah! thanks for posting, I think I can work with the hot air brush! I've really admired those dominican blowouts but i don't know of anyone who can do them in texas and I know I can't hold the brush and blowdryer at the same time but this looks easy!!!

When I was blowdrying.... I used the comb attachment but I felt that too much hair was breaking off in the process...so I switched to blowdrying with a paddle brush which caused less damage and seemed to dry my hair faster.

I use a combination of things, depends on the mood.
If I'm in a rush I'll use the comb attachment on damp/close to dry air dried hair.
Other wise I use a round ceramic brush when I rollerset with concentrator nozzle , but I can't seem to locate it right now

I voted other. I have a Conair Ion dryer, I use the cool shot and my fingers to dry and detangle.

Umm ladies help. I saw this thread and ran out to buy a blowdryer with a comb attachment. How do i use it and wont it break my hair? TIA

You can use it on damp air-dried hair, just part a section and work on each section at a time. Also it's best to use the warm temp. (not hot) if you want to prevent your hair from getting damaged.

And...make sure you use a heat protector prior to and detangle first. Also, make sure you don't overdry, especially the ends.

Can you ladies post pictures of the handheld brushes you use? Paddle brush, vent brush, is there a difference?

Ok..I've been a bad girl, but when I'm in a rush. I use a blowdryer, preferably one with a comb attachment. I know I shouldn't but its too cold out to air dry and run out in the morning. :look:

On those rare occasions that I do blowdry my hair(when I'm in a rush to do my hair) I use a wide tooth comb that i use to detangle because the fine tooth combs pull my hair out. Plus I am heavy handed so the wide tooth comb helps my struggle.
