My regimen I keep on hearing about all these sucsess stories of people who found thier ultimate hair regimen and had great results!
I will be relaxing my hair in two weeks and I am really frantic that I won't know what products to use and that all my hair will fall off(ok this might be a lil drastic but yall know what I mean) :yep:!!!!

I tried a search on regimens but its not like you can just copy exactly what that person is doing to thier hair!
Is anyone going through this, or has anyone gone through it?
What did you do and how did you find whats perfect for your hair?

your hair will not fall out until you find your regimen, trust me. it took forever for me to figure out something that worked for me and to figure out my moisture protein balance (important when you are relaxed). i still have not gotten moisture protein down pact. i do think there are certain rules that help maintain growth. Deep condition with every shampoo wash and try not to use too much direct heat without a heat protectant. do not trim too often, but trim when you see splits. good luck on your relaxed journey.

eta: i did start out following someone's regimen and then tweaked it to suit my needs. i didn't use their products though. it was macherieamour. you will have to do research on products and try different things. look at different fotki's.

It took me a while to find a regi and I still change it up depending on my hair's needs. I do try to keep it simple. I have so many products from when I first joined. I finally learned what works for my hair and add and take away fads as they float through the threads. Some worked for me and some didn't. I had one major no no happen to me and I will NEVER repeat that again. It was horrible and I lost so much hair.

I'm bootcamp so my reggie is real simple. I shampoo wash w/ CON green and then oil rinse, I use a cheapie conditioner and then I do a deep conditioner w/ either honey and Oilve oil or AOHSR. Then I use a leave in seal and twist. This is done once a week. Also during the week I retwist and I rinse my hair with a chamomile tea.

Keeping it simple really helps. Wash 1X a week, deep con, leave in , and please don't overdo it on moisturizing products. That can be a disaster waiting to happen

Hi Sweetie!
I used to have these same concerns when I first started and like others have stated I started out using Macheriamours regi of pre-poo with protein conditioner, shampoo and deep condtioner with moisturing conditioner. Rollerset with small amouts of leave in condish, wrap foam and serum. I did that for months and it worked great. Then as time went on I got a little more confidence I started to experiment with other products and techniques. And to be honest with you I still don't a regi set in stone that I follow religiously, b/c I get bored quickly and I like to change things up. So I wouldn't worry too much about it I went from between shoulder and armpit in Nov 08 to Bra strap Jan 09. So not having a solid regi has not hurt me at all. The main things I think you should focus on are moisture and protein balance, minimal heat and good quality products. Do this and your hair will tell you what it likes and dislikes. Good luck! :yep:

I base my regi on how my hair reacts to certain ingredients and consistencies. My hair likes butters and moderately thick products. Once you can determine what you hair responds well to, you can base your selection on that.

Just find a gentle shampoo and a good DC that your hair likes and that says 10 mins or more that your hair likes and stick with it....dont jump on every suggestion....give it a couple of months

It takes a long time to find a regimen. you really have to research and learn about what works for you......

Good luck to you.
