After months of silent debate I decided to convert from texturizing to relaxing today. I got my first relaxer since 2003 along with a huge cut and color...I'll post pictures in my album very soon as the entire ordeal happened today, but I still can't believe that I did it! What do you ladies think??

Ur relaxed hair looks fabulous!!!

Just curious... why did u decide to relax? (Ur texturized hair was really pretty).

Ginsana, your hair looks great! I love the way your cut looks on you. Which relaxer did u use? I always thought that u couldn't relax texturized hair. Learn something new everyday! Did u do it yourself?

THANKS SO MUCH for all the compliments!! I went to get the relaxer at the same dominican salon that I got my blowouts from as a texturizer. She used the Shea Butter Alter Ego Relaxer. from roots to ends...it took very well and I got my hair colored black with Alter Ego color that same day...it went very well!

I'll be posting pics. in the next two days so that you all can see the pics. fo the back of my layered hair cut as well as a close up of the color... :) Although I'm no longer texturized, I still think that texturizing is great..I guess I just wanted to look different...AGAIN! Ha!

So now we have some info on the Dominican Relaxers, well at least one, I was wondering how they would take and leave the hair feeling. Can you elaborate a little? and also, was it a LYE or NO-LYE relaxer?
