So I have been trying to make a really good deep conditioner. I have been trying to be a little chemist and mix it all up. It hasn't been working :perplexed. The problem is after I worked out tonight and was shampooing my hair I left the shampoo in for the time that I was washing my body. Big mistake! My hair felt STRIPPED after! And this is a shampoo that doesn't have the sulfates in it either. Anyway, I tried to "deep conditioner" after to see if it work would. What I ended up with after was hair that felt stripped and a sticky neck, chest, shower cap and bonnet dryer! After I rinsed out the stuff I put in ORS Replinishing pak and I'm using my bonnet dryer now. I'm crossing my fingers that my hair will get back to the nice, moisturized state it was in before my stupidity accord. Please take heed and don't make the same mistake I did!

Oh.. as far my making my own deep conditioners. I decided I am going to leave that to the professionals now :lachen:.

why'd you leave the shampoo in? and what was in the DC?

It was supposed to be astrrngthig shampoo, so I thought it would help. In the dc I tried mixing water, coconut cream, coconut oil and she's butter together. I tried to use geliten to emulsify, but it didn't work. The dc came out all clumpy. Thankfully after an hour of dc my hair feels normal. We will see how it comes out in the morning.
