I am in effin\' love.....

with L'Oreal Unfrizz Smoothing Treatment. I am so amazed by this conditioner that I am seriously considering getting rid of all these conditioners I have here.

I didn't notice until after work but my hair has so much body and is soft. It is considerably straight considering I airdried it. I am SO in love with my hair right about now.

I washed with KeraCare Hydrating Detangling Shampoo. Afterwards, I applied the conditioner and put a shower cap. I continued to shower. This probably took 5-10 minutes and then I rinsed it out. This conditioner puts the SSSSSSSSS in slip.

I will be posting the regimen that I am considering as soon as my headache dies down! I just had to post this!!!

Most Definitely!

So now I have a few questions now--since this is supposed to be left on for 2-5 minutes, this can't be considered as my deep conditioner can it?

What makes a deep conditioner deep? Is it the amount of time left on or the ingredients?

Re: I am in effin\' love.....

See- you guys ae gonna have to stop posting stuff like this! You should see the list of stuff I have to try when these braids come out!

Re: I am in effin\' love.....

BRH.. has started a trend!

Daviine, it really does make you want to clean house doesn't it??? I alternate LU with Pantene fopr my moisturizing treatments. I use the LU as a deep condit (dont ask me why i do this
nuts.gif
) and use the PS&S as my instant condit.
I'm not sure what makes a "deep condit" so ingredient wise. I just use thick consistency products for deep conditioning habitually, and lighter condits for instant softening.
LU softens on contact, so whether i leave it on for 5 mins or 50.. the results are pretty much the same!

Re: I am in effin\' love.....

I think the only way I'll end up using a new conditioner is if I find soemthing that does the EXACT samething at a cheaper price. Otherwise, I think that's it for me.

I went back and read all the old reviews--and I experienced everything that everyone else posted in their reviews---even the swinging hair.
smile.gif

I even dreamt about this conditioner last night!

Re: I am in effin\' love.....

I can't believe I didn't mention how great my ends look and y'all know how much I complain about my ends.

Anyways..here is what I'm considering doing:

Wash hair 2x a week
Weekday wash --undecided LUST (L'oreal Unfrizz Smoothing Treatment) OR Pantene S&S (since I like that one now too)

Weekend Wash--Protein Conditioner (deciding on ORS Hair Mayo, Aubrey GPB, or may just experiment in the spirit of being a PJ)
wink.gif
follow up with LUST

Leave-In: Elucence MBC

Airdry--then use Caruso Rollers if desired---

Moisturizer not decided yet. Right now I am seeing how long my hair stays moisturized without me adding anything to it since the wash--I haven't moisturized since Thursday night (when I washed my hair) so far--no need to yet--I'm just seeing how far I can go but I don't plan on doing this often. I'm thinking this will help me narrow down my choice of moisturizers.

This will be until summer when I will probably decide to do conditioner washes with Pantene S&S and/or Motions CPR.

Re: I am in effin\' love.....

how about when you do your reconstructors on weekends using the pantene afterwards, and on weekdays use LU as your "deep" moisturizing treatment??
I forgot to say that I rarely condition ONLY w/ pantene. I do reconstructors every other wash or every 3rd wash, and i use the LU for strictly moisturizing.

Re: I am in effin\' love.....

I like it too. It smells so good!

But the jar is so small...
cry3.gif
I have to be stingy with it and I want to just glob it on.
grin.gif

Re: I am in effin\' love.....

I don't see it as being a deep conditioner that provides a real 'treatment' for the hair, esp. as its a quick conditioner for 5 mins only. However, I leave it on for a good 30 mins
laugh.gif
.

I think a true deep conditioner is more about the ingredients to 'feed' the hair as well as the time its left on. To me, the L'oreal is more of a cosmetic change that it makes to the hair which is not in any way a neg. thing. I love it to pieces for how it really 'sliperises' the hair (oooh look, I just invented another word).

Re: I am in effin\' love.....

Dang! I shoulda took a sample from yours when you offered
laugh.gif
Now I have to wait a whole month after the PJ challenge to buy some.

Re: I am in effin\' love.....

I'll give you some the next time I see you. I might be in the Bronx this weekend. I don't know though.

As a matter of fact, I'm going out to Sally's to buy a jar of it and a shower comb for my sister. Her b-day is tomorrow. I just ordered a seamless comb, silk pillowcase, and a silk scarf for her. Then I'm going to send the rest of the stuff Monday.

Anyways, I'm rambling now....

I agree. The jar is certainly small. I'm one of those that loves to glob on conditioner.
grin.gif
I'll be trying this one out (before the end of 2003). If I like it as much as everyone, I guess I'll have to be stingy with it too (which will be kind of hard).

Re: I am in effin\' love.....

This is a fantastic conditioner! It makes my hair look and feel like silk. And nothing tames my new growth like this conditoner does!

Re: I am in effin\' love.....

How often are you using this Tee. what other products are you using now?

I use it 2 to 3 times a week. I rinse and condition my hair every day. When I'm not using LUST (love this acronym, btw
grin.gif
), I usually use Elucence conditioner, Rusk Calm 60-second conditioner, or Clairol Renewal 5x conditioner. For my heated deep treatments, I use Aubrey Organics Jojoba and Aloe conditioner.

Re: I am in effin\' love.....

How do you like the AO Jojoba and Aloe? I've been wanting to try this stuff for years but never wanted to pay the price. When I called in samples, they never had any.

With the LUST, it's like you always try products but you don;t know what you're looking for. I never would have imagined that I could be this excited about a conditioner.

I only wish I would have bought this sooner.
ohwell.gif
but better late than never.

Re: I am in effin\' love.....

I just tried it and the slip was so good it brought a little tear to my eye. Thank you BRH for hipping us to this product cuz my eyes have just been glazing right over it at the store. This stuff is unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: I am in effin\' love.....

ANOTHER happy customer!!! Actually Tee is the one who got me started on it and brought it to the boards attention. I've just been blagging my big mouth off about it ever since
laugh.gif

Isn't it vonderva? Talk about a keeper. Never knew what slip was till I found it (that sounds slightly corny

Well, afterwards, I put on some good ole Kiehl's Leave-In Conditioner and some Smooth 'N Shine Serum. Of course, I put my hair in a bun afterwards. This stuff is pretty darn good.

Re: I am in effin\' love.....

Allandra! I'm sooo glad you liked it!!! So is it a keeper? do you prefer s&s or LUST or do they produce different results?
